Do you hop from your living room to bedroom and wonder this is the ultimate travel goal for 2020? Don"t you see that there is a constant tug of war between your working desk and the kitchen table?
Before March 2020, people were throwing their hat into the ring and were working tirelessly to bring out the best for their businesses. But because of the corona outbreak, there is a sudden jolt seen in both personal and professional setups. Knowingly, unknowingly, this Pandemic has negatively impacted our lives. And by looking at the current scenario, it is difficult to manage your work and business all- together.
In this blog, I"ll share a few tips to manage work and home conjointly.
1. ACCEPTANCE IS THE KEY:
You sit at your couch in the living room and wonder when it will be over? You think the possibilities and think about business strategies and home management. But to have a perfect balance, you need to accept the fact that this Pandemic is for real and you cannot do anything about it.
"WE MUST ACCEPT FINITE DISAPPOINTMENT, BUT NEVER LOSE INFINITE HOPE."
By agreeing on the current situation, you will not only make peace with your past but will also have a positive outlook for future advancements.
2. IT IS ABOUT PHYSICAL V/S MENTAL HEALTH:
"GIVE YOURSELF THE SAME CARE AND ATTENTION THAT YOU GIVE TO OTHERS AND WATCH YOURSELF BLOOM."
This crisis has given us strain in both economical and social aspects, but moreover, it has drained us emotionally. While managing work and home, it is important to have an eye on your mental breakdown patterns. One should keep a note on regular intervals to track the mental status.
Losing your cool and showing short temper will not only hamper your growth but will also suppress your inner thinking capabilities. Your mental attitude will help you to balance your work and business.
The power of reasoning and wits are the two biggest assets of an entrepreneur. If you will track your mental attitude unerringly, you might be able to find out ways to explore more while sitting at home.
3. TO STABILIZE MENTAL STATUS:
MEDITATION AND YOGA PRACTICE:
It is known from the distant past that meditation and yoga practices can help in relieving the unknown anxiety or stress. This one hour of daily practise can do wonders to bloom your business and home life.
NOT GET TOO MUCH CONSUMED WITH THE NEGATIVE NEWS:
In this lockdown, we are under the sway of media. It creates a negative impact on our lives and upheavals our beliefs and strategies.
Try to avoid gloom-ridden news and not let it consume you. It will keep you engrossed for no reason and curb your business ethos.
KEEP A TRACK ON THE LATEST BUSINESS TRENDS RELATED TO YOUR FIELD:
Despite showing involvement in the obstructive tattles, monitor your inner entrepreneur, and find out the latest trend in your selective field. From the economy to any other personal furtherance, every up-to-the-minute strategy should be on your finger-tips.
Don"t get too much involved with your work so that you miss out to have convivial time with your family and loved ones. Use technology at its best and connect with your beloved ones who are living far away.
Spending time with your family is the ultimate therapeutic session. You always tend to learn something new and share your worries out.
4. BE AN OPPORTUNIST ANYWAY:
"NOTHING IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN A MISSED OPPORTUNITY."
Maybe, for example, your restaurant business is at hold and there is no growth is seen in your business field. But as a business person, try to look out for the opportune moments. For an entrepreneur, every minute of the day is a new opportunity to excel, explore, and exhibit something different.
It is not about the small or the large businesses, it is about the zeal and passion of saying yes to every opportunity.
5. CHURNING OUT THE CREATIVITY:
Don"t get stuck in the tumult of work-load, and take out some spare time to carve out your creativity.
MASTER CHEF IN THE HOUSE:
Become your house main chef, and act as if you are in your restaurant. Try out the hand on different recipes and serve your family with love and smile, and that too free of cost!
DOODLING AND CRAFTING LESSONS
There is a saying by Hiroko Sakai which says, "When you want to make the main colour pure and bright, don"t just keep adding bright colours on it. Just make the colours around the spot darker and dull. It will give the scene dramatical effects. I think life is the same."
Keep on colouring your painting sheets and load off the burden from your shoulders. Engage in fun activities and it might give an unknown relief.
SAYING YES TO GREEN PEACE:
What can be better than planting new plants both indoors and outdoors? It will serrate your mind to take necessary actions and quick in giving responses which will be good for your both personal and professional life.
6. DO NOT DEVIATE:
It is not about grinding for straight 24-hours and getting the half result. It is about working for the minimum duration but getting the full result.
Sit with your laptop. Brushup your mind. Take your skill ahead. Set a duration. Don"t wander. And accomplish your task.
This global Pandemic has undoubtedly disrupted the market place, but maybe, this time can be utilised to make a better today. A perfect equilibrium between work and home is necessary and this balance can act as a big addressing point shortly.
I hope it helps you better!
